PLA – Bio-based Plastic is our new favourite material. PLA is made from renewable fibres sourced from crops like corn, wheat, and sweet potatoes. It works similarly to traditional plastic, but with the crucial benefit of being 100% compostable in commercial composting facilities. At Fabelab, we love this material because it is versatile, compostable, and, best of all, not oil-derived.
